B. Charlie and Michael then co-wrote "Lost Highway Again" based on B. Charlie's rip-roaring riff and vision of the dark mysterious highways embedded in the American consciousness. Dusty Wakeman was brought in on bass and added the perfect "Peter Gunn" style bass line that tied all the elements together. After recording the basic tracks at Freedom Studio the song was then mixed by legendary producer John Porter at his Malibu studio.

"Cowboys come to Town" … was written by Michael Benfield for The Gypsy Saddletramps. It features Brian Stewart and Mitch Perry on electric guitars, and Michael Benfield on lead vocals and acoustic guitar and Thomas LeBlanc on drums. Jeff Breeh makes a guest appearance on bass and the incredible Charlie Harrison brings this song to life with his “Saloon Piano.”

On their next recording session B. Charlie, Mitch, and Michael moved to the Firehouse Studios in Pasadena. Les Cooper, engineer for Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, and many more, was the tracking engineer. Dusty returned on bass, Tony Braunigal came in on drums, and Mitch played Hammond organ. The song "Walk on Down the Road" was written by B. Charlie Stewart and Michael Benfield. Produced by B. Charlie and mixed by John Porter.
