The Apache mountains are a lonely place
When one doesn’t know the way,
And the other side is just so much space
When one knows it’s all in a day.
I’m a lonesome drifter,
I’m three in the morning,
And I’m wondering where she is.
She’s Venus weeping, she … is soft kisses,
And love is close, where ever she is.
She calls me on her rainy days
To tell me about rainbows and swallows in the air,
And I live on every word she says,
Because she always takes me there.
I saw her in a daydream,
And she was a gentle rain on a quiet mountain.
